Belinda is an avid grower of rare, unusual, native and the more common perennial plants, as well as vines, grasses, shrubs, trees and fungus. Gardening in the sometimes Zone 5b, sometimes Zone 5a area in Halton Hills between Georgetown and Milton, she experiments with plants of all hardiness ratings.

In 1998 she officially opened triffids plants and began to sell many of her unusual and rare 'babies", which are predominantly seed raised. The triffids plants 'sales' which are by invitation only, draw customers from Niagara Falls to Ottawa.

Her credentials include several years with Master Gardeners of Ontario (Halton Region group), certified horticulture judge, member of the Georgetown and District Horticultural Society, North American Rock Garden Society and the Ontario Rock Garden Society. Belinda can now be seen weekly on THE WEATHER NETWORK in the gardening season and is serving on the Board of Directors of the Royal Botanical Garden in Burlington/Hamilton. With twenty years as a public speaking instructor, her gardening and flower design talks are both educational AND entertaining. She never forgets that humour is the only thing that sets us above the intelligence level of the Plant Kingdom.
